Claymont Remembered - The Claymont Historical Society and the Claymont Stone School have teamed up to hold this event. Claymont Remembered History. Guest speakers Catherine Carter Kelly and John DeCostanza spoke about the importance of recording family history and stories: What is a journal, how to record and remember people and events in our lives, how to write a journal and to whom to leave it?

CHS had a plaque place on one of the original pillars at the site of the Old
Coach House on Phila. Pike, Claymont - now The Dollar General Store.
The Claymont Historical Society recognizes Atonement United Methodist church in
serving the Claymont Community and beyond for 150 years 1866-2016.
Plaque was presented by Carol Brady to Pastor John Hornberger.

Claymont Historical Society sponsored a special assembly at Claymont Elementary School on February 29 at which performer Matthew Dodd, told fifth-graders about the Civil War through the songs which were popular in the North and South at the time.
